Our school policy allows for children to be withdrawn from regular classes for up to 1 hour per week to participate in extra-curricula activities. Piano tuition is available at school by a private tutor. Any costs that may be incurred is the responsibility of the parents or guardians.

Our school encourages active participation in a wide range of sporting and leisure activities.
Years 3 to 6 are given the opportunity to take part in regular interschool sporting activities organised by the Manawatu Sports Council and local cluster groups. Where appropriate, teams may be formed to play in local competitions such as basketball and 6-a- side soccer.

Trips and Excursions

Educational trips are a valuable teaching tool. Regular excursions include the Manawatu Science Centre & Museum and the Art Gallery. The mobile library regularly visits the school.
Children need a City Library card to access this. A camp is held for Years 5 & 6 annually and Year 3 & 4 take part in a sleepover at the school annually.

Public Presentations

Church services and concerts are presented by students at the adjourning Adventist Church during the school year. They provide opportunity for children to participate in practical Christian ministry. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.

Week of Spiritual Emphasis (WOSE)

During the year, a Week of Spiritual Emphasis is held to encourage children to make a more serious commitment to the Christianfaith. Visiting speakers usually take a morning devotional and children are involved in prayer groups. The children are encouraged to get to know Jesus as their friend and saviour.
