Conditions of Enrolment

Palmerston North Adventist Christian School (PNACS) is open to families who wish to provide their children with a quality Christian education. It operates for members of the Seventh-Day Adventist community as well as students in the broader Christian community who are committed to the values and the ethos of the school. All students are expected to live in harmony with our Christian standards and participate in the life and program of the school, including devotional activities and Bible classes.

Enrolment Process

Visiting the School
Parents and prospective students are encouraged to visit the school prior to making a decision to enrol a child. Visits may be arranged at any time of the year by phoning the school and making an appointment with the office administrator.
Eligibility
Children who are NZ or Australian citizens, or who have a NZ residence visa or a NZ student visa which does not name a school, are eligible to apply for enrolment as a domestic student. International fee-paying students are also able to enrol but this involves a separate fee structure. Please contact the school office for more details.

Enrolment Statement

State integrated schools select preference students based on the connection to the Special Character of the school. For PNACS:

a. The agent for determining preference is the local church pastor, school chaplain or their designee.

b. The grounds for preference are the specific or general connection the family has to the beliefs, values and lifestyle of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

State integrated schools have places for non-preference students.

a. This school has a maximum of 11 non-preference places.

b. There are currently 3-4 places likely to be available in any particular year.

c. Non-preference places criteria:
➛ The applicants accept that they will be attending a school of special character and their place in the school is conditional on their participation in the program.
The applicants accept that they will be required to pay attendance dues as set by the Proprietor and these are not voluntary.

d. Non-preference selection criteria that will apply to this school:
1. Given to children of Board of Trustee employees
2. Given to applicants who are siblings of current pupils
3. Given to children of members of the Board of Trustees
